Ledgers Bookkeeping Master Franchise
Ledgers Bookkeeping is an established franchise system with franchisees currently operating in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Australia has up to 15,000 people presently providing bookkeeping services to small business on an independent basis. By the industry’s own admission, up to 90% of individuals currently providing these services do not comply with existing ATO regulations and face fines of up to $22,000 if prosecuted under ITAA 1936.
Very soon, the ATO will be introducing new regulations for all independent bookkeepers. Bookkeepers unable to comply in their own right will need a “big brother” to throw them a life line if they wish to keep operating their businesses. Ledgers Bookkeeping was established to become that lifeline, and we are looking for Master Franchisees to help us expand.
Ledgers primary strategy is to target individuals with established bookkeeping businesses, make them aware of impending regulation, and have them integrate their businesses with Ledgers. This strategy has the obvious advantage of tapping into existing revenue streams, via ongoing royalties payable to Ledgers.

Why Ledgers?
Ledgers offers prospective franchisees a wide range of benefits, many of which its competitors cannot compete with. These include:
- A fully compliant business framework, allowing established bookkeeping businesses the ability to simply “plug-and-play”.
- An initial franchise fee that that is discounted by a factor that takes into account the size of a bookkeepers existing revenue base.
- A franchise agreement that encourages the development of multi-unit operations, incorporating non-exclusive territories and a sliding scale of royalty payments.
- Head office support including initial and ongoing training, access to accountants and other support personnel.
- Unparalleled credit assessment tools including full membership of Credit Advantage (formerly CRAA).
- Billing and collection systems that include acceptance of major credit cards and membership of the bank’s Bulk Electronic Clearing System (“BECS”).
- Advanced technology through Ledgers Online, a totally proprietary web portal that provides clients and their accountants 24/7 data access.
- A national marketing campaign, including a truly dominant internet presence and ownership of the TLD’s bookkeeping.com.au and bookkeepers.com.au.
- Ledgers Acceptances (a subsidiary of Ledgers Australia Ltd) is a registered credit provider and can assist franchisees with purchasing a franchise.
Add these benefits to a compelling need to comply with new regulations, and you can see why becoming a Master Franchise owner for Ledgers Bookkeeping really adds up!
